LeadIT :- The Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) gathers countries and companies that are committed to action to achieve the Paris Agreement. It was launched by the governments of Sweden and India at the UN Climate Action Summit in September 2019 and is supported by the World Economic Forum.
Paris Agreement :- The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. Paris Agreement was adopted at COP 21 in Paris, on 12 December 2015 and entered into force on 4 November 2016.
LeadIT Aim :- low-carbon pathways, aiming to achieve net-zero carbon emissions
Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, India, Shri Bhupender Yadav, Minister for Climate and the Environment, Sweden participated in the event.

The Press Council of India celebrated the National Press Day 2022 on the theme “The Media’s Role in Nation Building” at SCOPE convention centre in New Delhi.
The Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur was the chief guest at the event and released the “Norms of Journalistic Conduct, 2022”.

National Press Day - the 16th of November – is symbolic of a free and responsible press in India. National Press Day is celebrated across India every year on 16th November to commemorate the setting up of the Press Council of India. It is the supreme authority in India for controlling print media.

The Mangdechhu hydroelectric project (HEPP) is a 720MW run-of-river power plant built on the Mangdechhu River in Trongsa Dzongkhag District, central Bhutan.
The handover was held in Thimphu on December 27th, 2022.
The 720 Megawatts Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Power Project, which was implemented with the assistance from India, was recently handed over to the Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) in Bhutan.
With this handing over, the two countries have successfully completed four mega hydroelectric power projects.
The 720 MW project Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Power Project was jointly inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bhutanese counterpart Lotay Tshering in 2019.
The Indian Government provided the financial and technical assistance for the construction of this hydroelectric project.
The commissioning of this hydroelectric power project has increased the electrical power generation capacity of Bhutan by 44 per cent and it is currently at 2,326 Mega Watts.
The project has generated more than 9,000 million units of energy since the commissioning, bringing down 2.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
Bhutan’s first mega power project – 336 MW Chukha Hydropower Project (CHP) – was fully funded by the Indian Government.
