(2) National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency
(3) National Mission on Sustainable Habitat
(4) National Water Mission
(5) National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Eco-system
(6) National Mission for a Green India
(7) National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture
(8) National Mission on Strategic Knowledge for Climate Change
(Step 2) Paris Agreement :- It seeks to keep the rise in global temperatures “well below” 2°C from pre-industrial times, while “pursuing efforts” to limit it to 1.5°C.
(Step 3) UN SDGs :- These are 17 broad goals for achieving sustainable development in the society. Amongst them Goal 13 exclusively focuses on tackling climate change.
World Meteorological Organization (WMO) :- The WMO is an intergovernmental organization with a membership of 193 Member States and Territories.
It was established by the ratification (अनुसमर्थन) of the WMO Convention in 1950.
India is a member of WMO.
WMO is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
Major reports published by the WMO are - Status of World Climate; Greenhouse Gas Bulletin.

The National Education Day is observed annually on November 11 in India. In India, National Education Day is celebrated every year on November 11 as it marks the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was India’s first education minister after independence. He was awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously, India’s highest civilian honour in 1992.
He played a significant role in shaping the country’s education system and laid the base for higher education.
In 2008, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Now Ministry of Education) decided to celebrate Azad’s birthday as National Education Day.
He was one of the founding members of the Jamia Milia Islamia University.
The first IIT, IISc, School of Planning and Architecture and the University Grants Commission were established under his tenure as the education minister.
He was a key architect of Independent India who was responsible for setting up apex education bodies like All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC).
The theme for National Education Day 2022 is “Changing Course, Transforming Education.”
